Does anyone have a M03 in 458 Lott. I just bought one and am having feed issues. Was looking to see if it's worth having mauser service the rifle. Hope to get some feed back I have 2 other M03's 375 and 300 win mag and they function perfectly
thx

At the price of them...send it back. There should be no feed issues unless you are using something out of the ordinary ammo wise (like Barnes super solids - they just don't work in some rifles)

The rifle will have been test shot with Norma regulation ammo before it left Germany

Chris,
I have a M03 in 404 Jeffery & 375 H&H.
I had some problems feeding Hornady .423 DGX flat nose bullets. Everything else has fed, no problems. I believe putting the magazine in the non drop box mode seemed to correct the problem.

Cradle the rifle with your hand under the magazine and cycle the bolt. It may be the mag may not be holding round high enough.

My Mauser dealer is Tip Burns in Canyon Lake Texas. Service is excellent. Canyon Sporting Arms

What Rusty said-- the rifle should have a 10 yr warranty too, they brought them in first in 2004 so if you bought it secondhand it should still be under warranty.

I bought my M03 from Tip Burns also. He can get it fixed.

I'd think if it is under warrinty. I'd write to
them about and ask them if is possible to do your bolt. or what ever else could be wrong.

I have one M03 in Lott and have not had any feed problems with any bulllets I used.
Anything for short OAL with 300gr Rems to 450 and 500gr works fine.
I've also shot North Fork 450gr cup points and those also worked. Though that was for load development and didnt do any high speed reloading.
