I'm thinking of taking this bullet in Hornady's Superformance load @ about 2,900 fps to Zambia next year to use on PG. Does anyone here have any real life experience with this round on game? Thanks in advance!

NOne at all, but I guarantee it will work fine as Ive found that there is no such thing as bullet failure with any .375. If it fails and comes apart so will the animal, if it fails and doesn't expand at all, it will penetrate to beat all and it will cut a cookie hole the size of a broom stick...Go for it! Nothing on game yet, but it's exceedingly accurate out of my .378 analog_peninsula ----------------------- It takes character to withstand the rigors of indolence.

Well, those are two encouraging posts! I will be using this round on Sable and Sitatunga. I am taking 300 gr. SAF for Buffalo and the 250 gr. GMX for the two antelope. I am told that the range on the Sitatunga could possibly go as far as 300 yds.

I test bullets at my range by lining up water/milk jugs and see how many it penetrates into. I know I know water isn't game animals but it is a great indicator whether or not a bullet will be stopped or exit most animals. While testing other bullets my .338 stopped in water jug #6 and each jug was 6" so it was somewhere between 36-42". In Wildebeest at 340 meters it penetrated from shoulder to the hide just ahead of the hip (about 30")so for my uses the water jug test is pretty fair. Try it you may leave the SAF's at home?

I haven't used that 250 gr bullet in the 375 but I have used other 250 grainers and it is my favorite weight for that caliber- vary stiffness for soft or hard skinned game.

Haven't ever tried the 250gr GMX but I have used the 235gr Barnes extensively. It chrono's at 3040 and just kills the s*** on anything I have tried it on. Accurate as well. Guns and hunting

I've not used the GMX but have used the 250 Gr TTSX in the .375H&H. It's a reliable killer on game up to elk for sure.
