I've read on the internet (so it must be true) that Nosler changed the design on the 300 partitions for better penetration by moving the partition forward or toughening the jacket, or both. Does anyone know when this happened and what exactly they did to change the design ? thanks | ||

I have heard nothing to that affect. There is nothing about it on their Web site. I would think that major happening would garner a little room on their site. I think you have a hold of a urban legend. But standby to be amazed with the rest of us. | |||

I didn't shoot them in 375, so I didn't pay a lot of attention, but my recollection is that Nosler quit making the 375 several years ago. When it returned in a couple of years, I believe the press at the time reported that the new bullet had been toughened up. This may have been what you heard. | |||

That may be right, I know the older ones have the cannelure ring farther to the base than the newer ones do. A shot not taken is always a miss | |||
