Anyone know, or have an idea, what powders are used in Federal's 416 Rigby ammo. There have been several different bullets loaded by Federal, so I expect perhaps a few powders have been used. Thanks for any info. Matt Matt FISH!! Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984: "Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

Federal list their sister companies as Alliant and Speer stating that while Federal do not provide loading data their sister companies do. The link below should take you to the data where you can select that for the 416 Rigby. If you have a Federal round you could pull the bullet and weight the powder and then compare with the loads listed by Alliant. This should tell you which powder Federal have used. Do remember that factories often blend powder to get the specifications they want for their ammo and it may not be exactly the same as the canister powder we buy off the shelf so even though we may deduce what powder a ammo manufacturer is using we should not just duplicate those charge weights with our canister powder. http://www.alliantpowder.com/r...eList.aspx?gtypeid=2
