Nice actions but they take a lot of finishing work before they're ready to stock.

Stuart Satterlee can do a Magnum Mauser in chrome-moly or stainless and bolt diameter of your choice, .700" or .750", and cut the square bridges to integral acceptance of QRW/Badger rings, or Talley.

Nobody else in the world is offering all that for only $3000.

Nobody else in the world is even offering a stainless Magnum Mauser that I know of. Some have talked it, but none have walked it ... well let us hope Stuart will walk it soon. He's got my deposit, and this Kentuckian talked him into a stainless Magnum Mauser, for the .395 Tatanka.

Stuart's shop is about 2 miles across the valley from the Tatanka Center in Deadwood, SD.
How appropriate. thumb

Thanks to Kevin Costner and Stuart Satterlee for the inspiration. Wink

SAFARIKID:

I spoke with Gene Simillion at SCI this year, and he told me the GMA are the only actions from the manufacturer that requires little, or NO work when he receives them.

Gene is a custom gun maker in Gunnison, Co.

A GMA action will produce a great rifle if worked on by a great riflemaker. But the action is just a starting point. It still takes a world class craftsman to make a world class rifle.

I believe this is a great statement, which a lot of people do not understand.

Well I sure had to do a hell of a lot of work on mine to get it to feed a .600OK. Frankly I expected better. I had to mill out the rear ring, square some things up that should have been square from the beginning and relieve the inner rings for clearance. Mine was a double square bridge and I had to mill Talley mounts into the bridges. That was fun on a $3000 action. Nevertheless, I don't know of a better action for a real cannon. But it sure isn't turnkey.-Rob
