Howdy all, I just thought I'd pass this ad along to you all. Just a tad out of my range. But you all know if I bought it there would be "Unintended Consequences" with the missus. A nice piece, but way out of the range of most big bore lovers as far as price goes.I wanted to send him an e-mail about Elmer's 577 also pictured, but the "100% secure" message system they have didn't seem worth the trouble. ------------------

I wonder if that rifle is muzzle heavy?

A 1850gn projectile at 1900fps seems extremely optimistic to me. I calculate recoil in this 24lb rifle to be about 256 ft/lbs. I believe full power .585 Nyati loads in a heavy rifle produce around 152 ft/lbs and are virtually unshootable. If the owner of this 4 bore can shoot 40 shots in a session I'd like to see the state of his shoulder afterwards. RJW

But it is a scope sighted single shot 4-bore!!! Somebody must think a scope can beat iron sights even at close range!!! Nice, but it is not the double rifle of 4-bore in the story. I guess he is just selling his "shop mule" and keeping the double? ------------------
