Guys, Am trying to find the last things for the 470 NE double rifle. A good bullet mould is almost the last thing. One of the fellows interested in pistols suggested looking at this source: http://www.mountainmolds.com/ Looks to me as if a steel mould in their 48 series with the large meplat at about 500 grains would be just the trick for 470 NE when sent down line about 1500 to 1800 fps. Any comments on the logic would certainly be appreciated! As always ... thanks for sharing your wisdom and experience!

For reasons I do not understand, some cast bullets regulate easily in my double and some do not. I would suggest that you start by buying some cast bullets from various makers to see what regulates. Then get a mold made to duplicate what you like.

I'm going to have Dan at www.mountainmolds.com make me a 500gn mold as soon as my 470NE reamer gets hear so he can take measurements off of it. He can make seperate bullet profiles in each cavity of the mold. I'm thinking about a gaschecked with one in a 70% nose and the other a 90% nose. I have about 7 of his molds now and they are all very well made.
