Is there anymore 375 H and H barreled actions floating around out there ? There a few years ago they had about any caliber a fellow was looking for . But on there web site there all marked discontinued.

Remington now markets these actions...made by Zastava as were the C. Daly actions. I have not seen one, but the complete rifles have gotten less than glowing reviews. Don't know if Rem offers the barreled actions or not, but they list the complete gun, Model 798, up to 375 H&H caliber.

After retiring from my real job I worked in a gunshop for awhile (I called it my hobby job). We had a Rem. Model 798 in stock and it was one of the worst new rifles I ever handled. A real POS in my opinion. The action was very rough. It felt like the rails were made of sandpaper. The trigger was terrible and the inletting was bad. The forend rubbed the barrel on one side and had a large gap on the other side. I certainly wouldn't pay the $$ Remington wants for these just to get the barreled action. Just so you know, there are more Remingtons in my gun safe then any other brand so don't think I have something against Remingtons. Tom Z NRA Life Member
