Whoooweee ! I shot my .375 Czech hoghump today and I'm hooked! I was dreading that first shot. I shouldered it, charged it, got into a classic rifleman stance, snugged it up and gently squeezed the trigger. A rolling boooooommmm eminated from betwixt my hands as I felt this strong push,,,,not a punch as expected. A huge grin appeared because I had just lost my big bore cherry, not counting 45-70s ! I now want Santa to bring .375 dies, brass, boolits, elk and moose tags, etc. Big bores are the sh!t!

Blackhawk1 -- welcome to our twisted little world! Don't worry, it won't be your last one as you will want more rifles in more calibers....it's never ending. Doesn't that sound like fun?!

You really want to have fun? Take the .375 out and whack prairie dogs with it. That is what I do after I sight in or if I have left over ammo. I agree with you the recoil is relatively easy to manage. Took my elk with the .375 this year. I don't even remember the recoil from the shot.

You will love it. There is no better whitetail rifle. Last whitetail buck I killed was 196 yards through the trees in Georgia with my 375. I couldn't have asked for any better,
