I have been kicking around the idea of having Sabi Custom Rifles in Nelspruit, South Africa build me a .375 H&H on a Mauser action. Does anyone have any experience with them.

The prices seem extremely reasonable, actually less than a Ruger M77 Dangerous game rifle wich is basically how the rifle they quoted me was set up.

I had a 500 Jeffery built for a friend several years ago by them. Beautiful execution precisely to specifications. Built on Mauser 98 and function is without fault. Recommend them highly. Don't know what the problems are importing them. They have an elaborate measurement system that they seem to translate to the wood for a perfect fit. Really nice piece of wood in the bargain.

I think Nickudu's .505 is a Sabi. I think he likes them a bunch.

I think Nick was acting as an agent for them in the States a couple of years back...you might pm him and see if he is still their U.S. rep.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Hi Tiggertate

I think Nicks 505 is based on a Brno and he was a rep for Sabi so a pm to him may be your best bet.
Take care
