He owns and operates "Wind Song" (I think) Elk hunting ranch just outside of LaGrande, Oregon.
Several thousand acres, hunts are spendy. He does single shot and double rifle articles for the Double Gun Journal.

G&A has an archive you can check, and have reprints of his good stuff downloaded for a small fee.

I first got the Double Rifle fever from visiting his place out in Colorado.

Yes he and Elmer got me into the big
bore fever. I got most of the rimless
450NE Bell cases from him that I made
my 458HEs from. His most famous words
to me, when I told him of my bigger stuff,
"Don't blow yourself up".....Ed

He also has started writing for the GunsAmerica online magazine.

I've been known to buy a years worth of old G&As off of ebay for little more than shipping, read them, then cut and save Boddington, Sitton and Seyfreid articles. Shit can the rest.

Last I talked to him he was working for the NRA also. That was a year ago so maybe old info. His ranch - wind song or elk song (?) - is absolutely beautiful property.

I had a few discussions with Ross about the 585 Nyati many years ago. Nice guy, but not a good cartdridge designer!-Rob

Ran into him at SCI (for the first time since the world IPSC champs in Roedepoort in 1981) - he was there with the NRA...still a great lad.
