I'm not overwhelmed with the sights on my Merkel; this being said, I was wondering if any of you fine gents are aware of a shallow V-type sight that would fit without too much modification. I like the Kreighoff shallow V with the dot-type front sight but don't know if those are available after-market. I actually like their "skeleton" rear site, red dot setup, but not sure how sturdy that skeleton is. I've handled a couple of other doubles that had similar sights, but they seemed to be original equipment. I would probably have JJ at Champlin do the work as he has already done some mods for me that I am very happy with. Thanks for the input.

Get a catalog from NECG, they have all of the double rifle sights you need and they require very little fitting.

George and Ray.....looks like you're both on the NECG page. I went to their site...nice stuff. I'm talking with JJ today and should be having the work done shortly. George, I like that sight....reckon it's study? Thanks so much gents for the info.
