Currently, I have a new Brno ZKK 602 barreled action with express sights in 375 H&H I purchased approximately 15 years ago. Also, I have a desert camo McMillian stock for this rifle. I have a Sako Finnbear rechambered for the 375 Wea Mag and like the gun that I don't need two 375's. My plan is to have a 400 H&H project. My options are: 1. Have the rifle rebored and thus the sights are usable. 2. Rebarrel to a 400 H&H and have it sighted with a peep sight. 3. Sell the action and stock and obtain a Model 70 action and have Pac-Nor rebarrel it to the 400 H&H. I would appreciate your opinions and thoughts about this project. I am settled on the caliber as I have several boxes of .411 A-Frame Swift bullets in 350's & 400's as well as an ample supply of 375 H&H cases. I have been pondering this project for some time but have not decided on a direction yet. Honestly, what would you do and why? Focus on the leading edge!

I would sell and buy a Win 70. While the 602 is a sturdy gun, it is not made for looking at, and its over all finnish is rather crude. It could all be slicked up, and a M70 safety installed, but It would still have the wrong stamping on the barrel etc. Sell, buy a winnie and a new barrel with new open sights. A better product, and, a lot easyer to sell if needed. Bent Fossdal Reiso 5685 Uggdal Norway

JMHO: If you buy or build anything with resale in mind, don't! You have brass, bullets and the vehicle. Have a good smith profile your new 400H&H barrel blank to match this one (or a bit larget), get your dies ordered (do this first to make sure you will have some), and do keep us updated on how fast and accurately she shoots. regards, Rich DRSS
