Just before X-mas My brother and I went to a final shoot at our range full bore/f-class for fun you had to bring a thumper and hit the target at 300 meters I took my recently rechambered ruger no1 rechambered in 458 some very different calibers came out of the safes that day "sore shoulders" [Big Grin] . One of them got me Very interested it was a 460 weatherby blow out and neck to a 50 cal the owner was kind enough to give me two shoots out of it WOW [Big Grin] . Now the question is it posible to chamber this for a ruger no1 just looking you guys understand [Wink]

HDU,
that round has several names, depending on shoulder and throat. You might want to watch Saeed's video of the dancer and the 460.

yep.. it can easily be done, and (do to my recent perils in enfields)I would tell ya to start with a cz550 in 416 rigby

Peter from Pro-Cal Trading based in Geelong, Victoria does one called a "500 ProCal" - It is the same concept, he already has all of the dies, reamers etc, I would talk to him about it. I can post his number if you want?

HunterDownunder,
John Buhmiller might have been the first to do this, and similar others that followed include:

505 Barnes Supreme
510 Wells Express
500 A-Square
510 JAB [Big Grin] by yours truly
50 Peacekeeper
And other straight walled and short versions such as the .495 A-Square, 50 BMD, 50 Whisper, etc.

I used a Ruger No. 1 in 416 Rigby and had it rebarreled to 510 JAB. No worries, worked great.

I also had a BRNO(CZ) ZKK 602 rebarreled to the 510 JAB which is very close to the 500 A-Square/50 Peacekeeper.

Additionally, the CZ 550 Magnum action or a BBK-01 are perfect for this project.

About as much fun as I can stand!

If you want a .585 Nyati Bob Devries of Kudu Services builds good ones [Cool]

The .500 A2 on a Rigby CZ 550 would be the easiest way to a .50 cal. The CZ .458 win mag the easiest and cheapest way to a lott.

I would get in touch with Bob DeVries his speciality is African big bores and CRF rifles, not stinking push feeds.

So I'm going to do it [Big Grin] even if the it cost $10 a shot it is a hunting rifle only going to be 30 to 40 shots max "I'm still convinceing myself". dcm and PC I like to take you guys up on your offers are you able to post the phone numbers of the shops in question. DaggaRon great to see you got your 510 JAB on the ruger it's the way I want to go unless I get convinced otherwise. thanks for all your help
