Ray... "A good advice can not be said to often" Thanks all for the answers, I will put my thinking hat on and have a chat with the gunsmith about what to do. I might be exaggerating the dental issue, but better safe than sorry .....Anyway, it held up ok for extencive shooting with my ZKK 375 H&H so I guess it will handle the 416 Taylor as well. But Rays comment about Africa and wildcats is worth to concider. Perhaps the logical one step up from the 35 Whelen is to go back to the 375 H&H road again ?? Arild | ||

I love the .338. It is about the largest rifle that works great on medium game as well as some heaveir stuff such as elk. It is always my light rifle in Africa unless I hunt plains game, then a .300 or 7mm and a .338. | |||
