Hi Ming
The dimensions you have are correct except the neck od measurement. It should be .5050. Using Mast brass the actual neck measurment with a seated bullet is .495 as the wall thickness of the brass is .010 per side. The .5050 measurement was listed on the reamer drawing to allow for optional brass sources that might have thicker measurements for the brass in the neck area.

Take care,
470 Mbogo

Yes the M has the sounds of mm and then bo followed by go. Are you doing a data base of cartridges or are you thinking about the cartridge itself. Peter from Quality Cartridge is getting set up to make loaded ammo or headstamped brass for the 470 Mbogo. He had a customer that was interested in the cartridge but I don't know the end result. He said if there was someone that wanted brass that he would be ready by mid Sept to supply.
Take good care,

Thanks 470 Mbogo for the info. Yes, I am thinking about building either a 45 or a 475 but undecided at this point. I am having a couple of projects going on right now so it will be a while before I get started on anything new here. Here are a couple more questions if you don't mind. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Who got your specs/drawing for a chamber reamer? Who was your dies source for the 470 Mbogo?

Cheers!
Ming

Hi Ming,
JGS has reamer drawings and specs. RCBS made my reloading dies but the last two sets have been made by Dave at CH4D. My son is putting a link up on my site for CH4D as soon as he gets a chance. Dave makes the reloading dies for half the cost of RCBS. He is setting up to do them now for Robgunbuilder and Canuck. Rob has reamers as well as myself if your planning on a 1 shot deal. All I ask for is a returnable deposit and a $25.00 fee to help replace my reamer in time if you want to do a 470 Mbogo.

Take good care,
470 Mbogo
