A friend is looking at a very nice Interarms Whitworth 458 Win. It is like new with nice figure in the butt. This is the model with the straight-comb English style stock, pancake cheek piece and black forend tip. What would be a fair retail market value? Thanks Matt Matt FISH!! Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984: "Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

Most true Whitworths, depending on condition, seem to be going for $800-$1000. Check with Frank Martinez. Those that I haven't already bought he owns.

One of the best values in factory chambered 458s. Even if it will not reliably chamber factory cartridges out of the box, it is only a minor gunsmithing job to do. Lefteris www.europeancartridgeunlimited.com
