I recently had my ZKK 602 chambered for .458 Lott restocked. Took off the old original stock and had a guy with a very good reputation build a custom walnut stock and glass bed it. Excited as ever took it to the range and on the 3rd shot the stock broke in the pistol grip area - a huge chunck of wood flew off!!! I have over the past 8 years used this rifle to hunt a fair amount of DG and PG, the old stock was ugly and didnt fit well but it certainly never broke. The stockmaker has come good and refunded the money but i am now thinking of going synthetic? Has anyone got any pics of ZKK's with synthetic stocks? Any other suggestions?

I've got a BRNO ZKK 602 .510/460WbyImpJAB. It is in a McMillan stock that had the barrel channel scraped and sanded out to fit the fat barrel, then glass&pillar bedded. I definitely recommend that stock. It will be an easy fit for your rifle. I will re-post for the umpteenth time a picture of my rifle when I can get to another 'puter where I can see pictures. Do you have a picture of your broken stock, or can you describe more precisely where the divot of wood flew loose? Was it right behind the tang or where in the grip? Did the grip break completely in two or just crack and pop a divot? FOUR!!!!
