The old cadillac itself.
I remember the question comes up occasionally can it handle the gibbs size case/rim based wildcats.
What is the final word again- Would need the rims rebated or just a bad idea all round?

Karl.

You know, I've seen some strange things in my 66 years of life, and some made sense, and some didn't! This is one that makes me ask the question: Why would anyone go to the expence and trouble of building a rifle made for Dangerous game use, on a push feed action, regardless of size, or make? I understand the factory's reasoning, short cut manufactureing, for higher profit yeald over cost, but not someone who has the choice of building it right without spending any more money, when his butt may be on the line with the finished platform!

This isn't a flame, just a puzzeling question! [Confused]

No they're not push feed they are drop feed, two shot automatic rifles! [Big Grin]

Love that strong Honey in Africa, but not with my fingers! That could interfere with the dropping of those twin tarpedos, for sure! [Eek!]

And someone notify me when I get the answer to my question... [Roll Eyes]

You old warhorses stop scaring off the posters who may be able to help. Go and revive an old CRF vs PF battle thread instead [Wink]

G'day Karl,
I would give Peter at Pro-Cal Trading a call in sunny Melbourne.
He has built many rifles for the big game rifle club.

Phone/Fax 03-5281 1380

Good luck,
Charlie

I looked at it, then rejected it! I was concerned that given how little rim was left after fitting a .640 cartridge rim that a push feed would tear off the .030 bolt rim and ruin the bolt . Enough guys have had this happen with CRF bolts that it really makes you think twice about using a WBY.
