Any big bore wildcats out there based on the 8x68s? I saw dies for a 416x68, don't know if that's the 68s case or the 68 Mauser case.

Doing a 8x68s and want to do a 6.5x68s barrel and big bore barrel. Ideally a 10x68s would be cool.

I saw RWS has a 10.3x68, but is a belted mag.

The 8x68 has a .524” base diameter and the 10.75x68 Mauser has a .495” base diameter. FWIW, the 68 Mauser necked down to .416” essentially duplicates the 416 Taylor. The 8x68 case blown out and necked to .416” is close to a .416” Ruger. Neither case is very easy to come by, but Norma makes 8x68 and it it looks like Brownells has some in stock.

I really liked the 10.75x68, it had a lot to offer. It is balistically a 404 Jefferys or 450-400-3" of years gone by, but today with better bullets..I used it some on buffalo and it was excellent, plus it carried an extra round, and the one I built had a drop box magazine and held 7 including one in the barrel..Recoil was less than a 404 or 416..I used 400 gr. Woodleighs at 2100 FPS give or take 30 FPS, depending on the load..
