Hey guys,

It would be nice if we could neck down the 600 Overkill to a 585 T-Rex. How is that sound? Here is a drawing for it. Cheers! Ming

Ming,

Karl on this forum has an .585 Nyati improved which is essentially this cartridge without a belt (correct me if I'm wrong).

Ming what if we could neck this cartridge down to .510 so one could shoot the .50 BMG Hornady A-Max projectiles, what velocity could they be driven at from this case, you would almost get the ballistics from the BMG in the CZ 550 action wouldn't you ?? This would be called the .50/600 Maximum [Big Grin]

PC,

It is a good idea but I think that we should leave the 50 cal. to the 500 A-Square as it is very impressive and very easy to build. As for the ballistics, I am sure any sporting "big" 50 can be impressive compared to the 50 BMG. Have fun. Cheers! Ming

Ming,

I am interested in a .50 BMG and my friend and I had ordered an AR-50 but following 9/11 an export ban was placed on .50 BMG stuff so I was looking at an alternative. How much behind the .50 BMG would the .50/600 maximum be ???

PC,

Do you mean that the US will not longer allow export of 50 cal rifles?

Other stuff we do not export without special license:

1. night vision goggles (useful for 'roo hunting?)

2. hummvee (hummer) vehicles (also useful for 'roo hunting)

3. filament winding machines (useful for making tennis rackets, golf club shafts, boat oars, bicycle frames and missile casings)

4.

That is correct 500. According to the fellow from specweopons whom we had arranged to order the AR50 from the ban came into place shortly after we had completed the paperwork. Alternatively he has placed an order for it's little brother the AR 30 .338 Lapua mag.

Why don't they export Hummers, I think there is a few in our country, Mark Phillopusis had one and so did Kerry Packer.

How about building it as a "switch barrel" gun? Start with the 600 RGB, then add a 416/600, 458/600, 50/600? You know, to run the whole gammut from varmint hunting, deer hunting, elk/bear hunting, and finally freight train hunting? [Big Grin]
