Although not a big bore owner-shooter (yet) I follow this form closely and seldom see comments about Sauer rifles. I wonder why because the model 202 I recently condisered buying in 375 H&H looked very well constructed with beautiful wood. Pricy (?) at $1900.00 used, fired but not a mark on it, and most likely a bit out of my range, but interesting anyway.
Please comment.Thanks, Chief.

If you do a search in the medium bore forum you will see some posts. I own two 202s and love them, one is a 270 win and the other a 300 wby mag. Both are incredibly accurate, especially the 300 wby. They are very pleasant to shoot and awesome to travel with. When flying I just pull the butt stock and have a nice compact package to take.

The nice thing about the rifle you are looking at is all you need to swap out is the barrel and mag and you can shoot lots of different magnum cartridges like the 300 win, 300 wby, 7mm rem mag etc.

The finish work on these is top notch.

Great rifles.

Chief,
I have a 202 in 375H&H and love it. In fact, I have often commented that if I had it do over again, I would use my 202 for everything and simplify my gun rack. With it's component type set up, you can change caliber, stocks, triggers. pretty much anything. While, yes, they aren't "controlled round feed" I have never see mine or anyone elses, fail in any manner. I have tested mine in every position, speed, everything, to try to get it to hichup----nothing. I have had it in -0 wet freezing condition as well as heat & rain. Shoots incredibly accurate, is light at around 8lbs w/ scope and has mild recoil due to a good stock design. Great trigger & the smoothest action imaginable. I can cycle my 375 like lightning. For the hunter that just wants a great carry-everywhere hunting rifle--there is no better. If i didn't have "the disease" of more guns, I would use a 375 or maybe 416/ 3006 2 bbl set in a take-down Sauer case that is incredibly small, and hunt simply everywhere. With my 375, I don't really know why I have a 300 Win mag. Ruger MKII anymore. Maybe a future conversion Wink
