Well, I just got my "new" Winchester M70 Safari Classic in .416 Rem Mag. It actually started as a .375 H&H, but the action wasn't square with the barrel. So, we decided to turn it into a .416 Rem. Mike Scherz of Gila River Custom Guns did the work for me. It wears a 26 inch barrel and the scope is an old 4x Weaver. I may replace it eventually, but it was the one I had handy for now. It also has a double leaf express sight and Mike's own bases w/ Talley Q/D rings. In spite of the barrel length, it balances just forward of the floorplate. I haven't had a chance to shot it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. | ||
