The .505 pictured in the article is a Breeding/VanHorn custom piece. Ryan Breeding still offers fine custom big bores. See www.rbbigbores.com As I understand it he primarily builds guns on the Granite Mountain mauser these days. Granite Mtn is making double square bridge actions of all sizes for whatever caliber a guy wants. For most projects the GMA provides a better functional and aesthetic result, and a more economical total price, than starting with something else. However, I have seen at least one Breves, plus some 98's and some Enfields that Mr. Breeding built into fabulous big bore custom rifles.
