Gents: According to the Hornady Manual, a charge of 90.2gr of IMR 4350 behind a 400gr RN produces about 2350 FPS or the original Rigby specs. I see a lot of you guys shooting 100 plus grains of H-4831 and attaining MVs in excess of 2400 fps. My question is, has anybody tried the 4350 load and actually chronographed it? Appreciate feedback and welcome your favorite loads. Oh yeah, I have a Ruger ( one the very first produced) jorge generaljjr@aol.com

IMR 4350 90.0gr 400gr Hornady 2246fps sub-moa.
Imr 4350 92.0gr 400gr Partition 2379fps sub-moa.

I now use H4831sc, 3 shot groups went from the.8s or .9s to .5s and .6s with lower deviations.
I do not hotrod the Rigby, I keep it right at 2350 - 2440 fps.

Hi I have used Imr 4350 In my Ruger #1 The Hogdon manual calls for a max a 96gr And vel. of 2405 The times I have cronyed any of these loads I find them to be around 25 fps of there listed figures. I know all guns are differt , but I have been impressed with ther data as it corisponds to my rifle

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like my loads of 90.2 a swift Aframes should be close to my goal of 2350 fps. Guess I need to spring for a chronograph! jorge
