Number of guns in a TuffPak? Login/Join

Will likely be making a long move soon, and was thinking about getting a TuffPak to carry my rifles on the trip. Scopes off, bolts out, wrapped in socks/bubble wrap or Boyt cases and loaded end for end. Want something that I can easily take into the hotel/airbnb on the way across.

Any one done this? Have any idea of how many rifles/shotguns I can fit? Need room for 8-10 - I think.

Thanks

Most likely lucky to get 5, maybe 6 in a Tuffpak.

In my TuffPak 1252, which is the larger diameter case to fit a bow, with scopes off, at least 6. Maybe 8 if you use shotgun/non-scoped softcases.

Where are you at? You are welcome to use mine for the journey and UPS it back. No idea what that would cost, but it should be cheaper than buying one for $400 plus.

The ones that Washington State DFW uses for Hunter Education guns, which I understand are TuffPak clones hold five cased long guns. The top has a molded handle and there are luggage type wheels on the bottom, so it drags easily and is often mistaken for a set of golf clubs.

Well I use a lot of clothes, boots, optics, whatever to pack the guns snug. 4 was my early limit, but in reality I learned long ago two is plenty to drag around in airports, and saves time at the check in counter by a good deal. One is even better, guess Im getting a bit long in the tooth, don't like the weight. I started with 4 then 3 then 2 for many years, and just one the last 4 or 5 years..
