BPBB,
You mentioned on another thread getting 1350fps with your 2 bore/3500gn and 550 gn of powder.
By my calculations that is close to 300ftlbs recoil energy from say a 36lb gun!

Still over 200ftlbs from a 50lb gun.

What does your 2 bore weigh and how do you handle that?

Karl.

Sir Samuel Baker used a 2-bore rifle for dangerous game. His Arab associates called it Jinnah Al Mutfah, or Son of a Cannon. Sir Samuel said that firing this rifle gave him a severe headache and a nose-bleed!! Since he was a big, powerful man, it escapes me how any ordinary mortal could fire such a beast. Doesn't October Coutry make these rifles??

October country makes up (or down depending how you look at it)to a 4 bore.I asked John shorb a couple of years back about the 2 bore and he said he had no plans to make one.

Karl,
He doesn't shoot it because he doesn't own it.This is the same guy from before that claimed to have killed over 600 big game animals, all with only one shot each, and was only 22 years old.He just changed his name but didn't even change his story.

The other guy was from Niagra Falls, claimed to have a 2 bore and an 4 bore and also all sorts of Ruger #1s in exotic NE calibers. So does this guy.

Is it just me,or does the chance that there could be two seperate people in Niagra Falls that have a 2 bore,a 4 bore, several large bore Ruger #1s,and happen to both stumble apon this website, seem very small?

You mean to tell me that all those posts from this guy are just BS. I cannot believe it! (actually I knew all along that he was full of it).

BPBB,
Obviously the easist way to put the doubters in this thread in their place would have been to answer my questions in your post.

Personally if I was called into question I would not waste time promising to ring or email someone in my next post, I would be rattling off facts like a machine gun.

I don't have phone access where I am at the moment.(So that is a good escape clause for a pretender)
However I can get on the internet every so often during R&R,(praise modern technology even in godforsaken localities), so feel free to e-mail me or even post your answers here thanks.

Regards,
karl.

P.S greetings again everyone.
