I remember getting a LH Rem. 700 .308 with one box of ammo through it for $200. I didn't have no 'steenking guilt'. ![]() ![]() George

I paid a guy $200 for all of these .375 bullets. ![]() And he even threw in this! ![]() ![]() It's been shot and the stock is scratched up in places but I think it may be worth a professional refinish. It also points like a shotgun, this may quickly become my favorite rifle. The forend has an additional lug and it and the recoil lug have been bedded, is this factory?

Since I basically got it for 50 bucks, I figure it only proper to have a gentry 3 position safety installed, new trigger, reblue it to a nice matte finish, have the stock stripped, reshaped and repaired where the old safety rode, checkering cleaned up, and finished in a nice matte oil. A set of QR mounts and a 2.5 to 8x Leupold would top it off nicely and cost should still come in under a new Ruger Magnum rifle. And yes, I really should go to church next Sunday.
