I put this here instead of the Reloading Forum where it actually belongs, because I thought I would probably get a better responce. I need some reloading data for 500 grain bullets for a .450 Rigby. Looking for velocities in the 2350-2400fps range. Thanks

MHC: I don't have a .450 Rigby but I am in the process of building a .450 Dakota. I think they are pretty similar but the Dakota might have just a bit more case capacity. I have been given to understand that with the Dakota, you can take the starting load from most any manual for the .460 Weatherby and that should be about right. Hope that helps. I've been told the same thing. I am planning on working up some loade for 450gr Northforks next month. ____________________________________________ "Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." Terry Pratchett.

I've got 15 rounds of 450 Rigby plus 5 cases that I'd let go very reasonable. Buyer pays Haz charges and shipping though. PM me if wanted. Mike FourTails
