Never have used them on a big boomer, but have used them on the 300wby,and my 06, one of the old smiths here told me to coat the inside of the rings with powdered resin, and they have held fine so far

I used the Burris Signature rings on my 416 Rem, and they held zero fine, and even returned to zero fine. Only issue for me was the mounted scope height. I really like to keep them low on a hunting rifle.

I wiped everything down with alcohol before assembling the rings to the scope. Never needed the resin, although I had some ready.
