i have a 375 and a 458 lott cz 550 (left handed) upgraded by ahr/wayne. the 458 was a re-barrelled 375.

is it possible to swap the bolt between the two guns?

not doing just wanted to know if it can be done

Maybe yes, maybe NO. You nedd to go to a Good Gunsmith, that has GO and NO GO gauges for both calibres and have him check it out.

It would be well worth doing as If you had both rifles on a hunt, being able to switch bolts between them would be a good thing to know.

It might be that one bolt would work in both rifles and the other would not.

This is one of the advantages to hunting with a Blaser Bolt rifle. Everything, will fit every rifle. [R 93 to R93, and R8 to R8]. This assumes that with the bolt head, the cartridges have the same head size.

Theoretically, the head-space should be the same for both the 375 H&H and the 458 Lott since they both use the same head-space gauge. The problem with the swap may lie at the other end of the bolt however. The sear engagement is set individually for each rifle. This is done through the relationship between safety lever, cocking piece, and trigger. Each is unique.

In short; DON"T TRY THIS AT HOME, EVER !!!
