Reloader 15 Winchester W760 These were the most accurate powders in both of my 375H&H's. Reloader 15 delivered the same accuracy as W760 but at a slightly higher velocity. Good luck. Tim

VarGet is very close to RL15 and more consistent from cannister to cannister.

H-414 (which is speced the same as WW 760), along with IMR 4350 have worked well for me.

I've had good luck with IMR-4895 with the 210 to 250 grain bullets. RL-15 gave top velocities with the 270 & 300 grain bullets but both IMR-4320 and VARGET shot a bit tighter and lagged behind only 40-50 fps. All are good stable powders from lot to lot but, as DB said, VARGET seems to be especially good in this regard.

Thank u gazors , as information: I like to load 265gr and 300 gr bullets. Are the powders suitable for a 350gr Bullet? cheers konstantin

Konst, Have had excellent results with W760, WW Cases, WLR Primer & Woodleigh 270gr PP. Woodleighs are not supposed to be an accuracy bullet but a game bullet but heck it shoots really tight groups in my Sako & a friends Ruger magnum. We both use 83.0gr which is a Max load so back off 5% & work up. Both our rifles shoot this load with no pressure signs. Regards,

My best accuracy in the .375 H&H has come from IMR 4064. Due to its long grains, I have to weigh each charge.

At first a big thank u to all who answered. Is someone using Vihtavouri Powders, like N 140 or N160 for reloading his .375 H&H ammo? cheers Konstantin

Check out the latest Shooting Times. Rick Jamison did a few paragraphs in a box about the new Nosler 260 grain Ballistic Tip. He used 76 grains of Reloder 15 to get 2923 fps as I recall, with a 26" barreled 375 H&H. ------------------ PS: Correct barrel length was 26", corrected above. Konst, I use H 4350. I can get great velocity and accuracy with 270 thur 350 grainers. It has short grains and also meters well. I can throw very consistent charges with my powder measure. I bought an 8lb jug and its almost gone! This powder also works well in my 30-06, .257 Roberts, .338-06, and even my .45-70 with cast bullets. Hope this helps. Good Shooting. The Bearman

If you go to handgunhunt.com you can read a previous post from RobR who used the .375 BT in his 375 JDJ Contender to down a muskox....with 5 "boiler room" hits from 30-50 yards. All of the jackets and cores seperated. The muzzle velocity of his round was approx. 2000 fps. I'd think twice about using the BT's on anything bigger than a Whitetail/Mulie or their equivalent. Garby.

I would agree with using the Nosler BT 260 grainer on deer sized game, or long shot targets for plinking fun. Tricky Rick Jamison gave these loads for the bullet: 375 H&H: 375 RUM 378 Weatherby Apparently he calculated these ballistic coefficients from velocities at the muzzle and at 200 yards on an Oehler. Tricky with those barrel lengths, eh? I corrected my previous post. Page 36 of the April 2002 Shooting Times. I got so bored I bought one of those rags. ------------------

konst, I like both Vhit N140 and N150 in any of my 375's. Either gives more than acceptable results. With 300 gr bullets, start with about 68gr of N140 and about 72gr of N150 and work it out for your rifle. ------------------
