analog_peninsulaWhy do you want a 10x scope on a Lott?

TREE 'EMIt's a heavy scope and it would be hard on mounts.
I had one with the IHR reticle and it got lost on dark backgrounds even in good light.

Cold Trigger FingerThe SHV line is a bit high powered iirc . And again iirc they are the only NightForce line that do not have an illuminated reticle.
The NXS line does have a couple scopes that would work well on a Lott .
Phil Shoemaker : "I went to a .30-06 on a fine old Mauser action. That worked successfully for a few years until a wounded, vindictive brown bear taught me that precise bullet placement is not always possible in thick alders, at spitting distances and when time is measured in split seconds. Lucky to come out of that lesson alive, I decided to look for a more suitable rifle."

jeffeossosingle anecdote, not data ..
I have a friend with a lifetime of bigbore skills, who reached a good scope cut from a nightforce on a 458 win ... using it in lowlight, if that matters, while we were hunting hogs one night.

drewhenrytntI'd find a NXS 1-4x24 with an FC-2 reticle....illuminated.

RobgunbuilderDuck tape a tube of superglue on the bell of that SHV. You'll need it!
Seriously, stick a RMR red dot on that Lott! Forget the scope!

Cold Trigger FingerThe 1-4×24 NXS is a great little scope but 3.5" eye relief isn't a lot . the Vortex Viper HS 1-4×24 , PST 1-4× 24 and the Crossfire ll 1-4×24 all have a good 4" eye relief on 4 power .
I also think you may need extension rings on most Lott's .

Dead EyeI have a vx3 2.5-8 on mine. A bit more magnification makes it more versitile. 2.5x on the low side is fine by me.
