After I shot the M1895 Winchester in 405 Winchester, see thread on the subject, I had an opportunity to test out a CZ527 in 50 Beowulf. To be honest, I don't think the recoil was too bad, but my shoulder was bruised badly by the Winchester. The rifle was very accurate 50 yards, putting 5 rounds into one large ragged 0.8" hole. I only shot 10 rounds as I ran out of money, but I did not experience any major feeding problems. The rifle had a single stack magazine and the magazine was a pain to load, but as I said it seemed to feed well.
The owner did not state who made the rifle, and I did not ask. He did tell me he would be out again Memorial Day weekend, so I can shoot it again WITHOUT a Winchester supplied bruised shoulder!!
Axel-Whinning about a .50 Bewolf. This must be a GERMAN fako engineer thing! What a stupid round in the first place. A glorified pistol round so severely rebatted it's a wonder it feeds as a single shot! You've hit a new low! Recoil from a 405 winchester is non-existant compared to some of the bigger guns, the guys on this board shoot. You back to trolling like always? I and everyone else here basically don't give a shit what you think!

470nitro, or should I call you Scott Sweet since you sound so very much like him! You make comments about me being weak because I could not handle the recoil of the 405 Win. I find this disturbing since you were at the range yesterday also, and could only handle 4 rounds before you had to stop because you had "serious" shooting to do!! I noticed that your "serious" shooting was about 20 rounds from your AR15! I think your shoulder must have hurt pretty bad if you could only handle 20 rounds of 5.56 Nato!!! Who is WEAK!
You should have stayed maybe you could have told the owner of the 50 Beowulf "how it could not be done"! The rifle worked!!
Hey, .470 Nitro, as a new member you might not be aware that flaming other posters is considered very bad manners on this board. Stick to issues, not personal attacks.
The .50 Beowulf is not a glorified pistol round, it's more like .45-70 on steroids, with a rebated rim so it will work in an autoloader with a standard sized boltface.

Urodoji, I really liked this rifle. I can't wait to get a second go with it this weekend. I went to a local gunshop and picked up 20 rounds so I can fire them through this gentleman's rifle. I noticed while at this gunshop they had Alexander Arms AR15s for ~ $1240. Depending upon my experience this weekend, I may be tempted.
450 NE No2, have you shot a 458 SOCOM? I have not seen one. Actually, I have not heard of one. They appear to be similar to the 50 Beowulf just in a smaller caliber.
Don't buy the complete rifle, just buy the upper. It's about half the price of the complete rifle. BTW, AA is about 6-8 weeks behind on orders. I have one for a customer that should almost be finished.

Axel, the 458Socom would be a pretty good stopping round if you could do the double taps with it, I have the 458 and the 50 and have been playing with them for awhile, For me the 458 socom makes more sense, its kind of like the semi-auto bush gun, we chandged the stock out to the A2 style to give us a little more lenght, and with the cor-bon loads it will leave an imprint of the butt plate in your shirt for a little while There must be some thing about the M-16 variant in a short 50cal, the Coast Guard has just let a contract for one. according to the last L&E magaizine I recieved
