Does anyone have information or experience with this rifle in .375 H&H. Is it standard Savage push feed or their type CRF. Thanks.

I have one. It is an inexpensive rifle that I use for moose hunts around my house, in the woods.It is roughly finished, very light (6 lb 6 oz.),reasonably accurate. If you only want one 375 HH, I would probably get a true CRF like a classic model 70. The savage has a kind of CRF but with a small fingernail extractor. The short barrel and lightweight are nice.I use the 375 because I might encounter a bear,which I have several times.The rifle works fine, but for more formal hunts I go on,I use one of my better rifles. I may use the Savage on a goat hunt though because it is so light, and yet very powerful in case of bear encounters. If you have more questions about it let me know. I forgot to mention, it is not for the recoil sensitive.

Does it have a standing ejector or a plunger type? Thanks.

It has a standing ejector. I didn't notice at first, but the original one was dragging on the bolt. After fooling with it a bit, it broke,probably my fault though. Savage replaced it for free, very quick response. It works great now.

How well does the extractor work if you short stroke it? If you run a round halfway in, will it pull it back out and eject reliably?
I always wondered if these didn't get more attention because they were made by Savage?
The Savage bolt actions are strong and turn in some great accuracy. Plus they are easy for the hobby gunsmith to change barrels or bolt heads on.

It works just like a CRF,it just doesn't have much of an extractor.It will control the round fairly soon on pushing the bolt forward.If you then reverse directions, it will eject the round when it hits the ejector.
