Mark X 2.5x8 leupold The rifle I bought has weavers on it. I hate weavers. Has anyone tried this combo with something else? Thanks

I have that scope mounted in Leupold QRs on my M-70 .375H&H, Burris Signature (turn-in) rings on my Sako AV .338, and Kimber rings on my Kimber (of Oregon) M-84 .17 Rem.

I have my 2.5-8 Leupold mounted on my M70 in 375 using Leupold 2 peice bases and Leupold rings. Seems to be just fine but I don't like the look of how the mount base hangs over the action opening a bit.

I have my Leupold mounted on my .375H&H with steel Weaver-style bases and Leupold QRW rings. Scope hasn't slipped despite my heavy load shooting (270 & 300gr at 2500fps) and grandsons (teens) who run through a LOT of 260gr cast bullets at 1900fps.
Seems like I'm going through 3 or 4 hundred cast bullets each year!

I've put about 200 rounds thru my .375; about 50 African critters to date from gemsbok to elephant, and hippo, leopard, and eland in between. I've had real good luck with Leupold QR's. QRW's look good as do the Talley mounts.

Had a Leupold 2x7 on a Win 70 in 375 both Leupold dovetails and Talley rings/bases. Had no problem with either one, but prefer the Talleys. They are really well made and muy stout. Have a Swarovski 1.5x6 30 mm in Talley 30 mm rings now and although haven't put many rounds through it after bypass surgery, haven't had a problem with the few I did - full boat 300 grains.

I have had the Leupold VXIII 2.5X8 in Talley Quick Release rings and bases on my Win M70 .375 H&H Classic Stainless. Worked beautifully. Looked very close to custom. Close enough for me!

I now have a VXIII 1.75X6 on my .375 H&H with the same bases. Even better!

I have Leupold QR mounts on two M70 .375s. I am very happy with this setup and have had no problems after at least a couple of hundred rounds through each rifle since setting up with the QR rings and bases.

I like the Leupold QR bases. I have them mounted with #6 screws though.
