I am looking at some options for scope mounting on my biggest CZ rifles. Some scopes don't have enough tube length (5.25 inch min) to mount with the wide CZ ring spacing. Some new muzzle loader scopes offer a 5 inch eye relief. I cannot mount those forward enough to benefit from that longer eye relief.

I like to ask the forum: Is there available any ring with an offset, or ring and base, too move the scope forward oand also allow shorter tube length? Who sells that product?

Not sure this is exactly what you are looking for, but CZ makes a weaver adapter that mounts to the dovetails. It would allow you to mount any set of weaver rings in just about any position.

weaver adapter rail (19mm dovetail)

I think that will work, .....

Yes, this is right, converts the 19mm cz system to std weaver style. With this I can use any std weaver ring and position the rings where needed.

Thanks guy !

I just ordered two weaver bases for the CZ550 from CZ America. They get $100 each plus $10 shipping. Damn! This is what I hate about this hobby. Every time, I try anything a little different. I get screwed. And zero resale value later on for any of this add on custom crap. On top of that, the dealer price is probably 50c. But, buying factory direct I pay the exaggerated fake retail.

Ok, I know - you want to play you have to pay. End of rant.

I guess it cuts both ways. I recently purchased a CZ550 originally sold out of the StLouis custom shop gun. Subsequently sent to AHR for every upgrade in the book. My used price, discounted all that stuff away. For price of basic gun, I got fancy wood and custom work for almost free.

I'll be interested to hear how that adapter works for you. I now have 550's in both 375H&H and 416 Rigby. I have the Warne QD rings on the 375 and am still playing with the iron sights on the Rigby.

And yes... $100 per sounds pretty steep for that part.

In motorcycle circles, everyone thinks HD stands for Harley-Davidson, in reality it's "hundred dollars"... or the minimum you spend when you walk into the dealer. CZ might be Czech for "Harley"

I just called to confirm the delivery details and was told he had not got to it yet. I had to wait my turn. In a very surly attitude, he explained it would be about a month before he could walk down the isle and stuff and envelope with my order! He is short handed and I have to wait my turn. I don't need his name, he works the phone alone. And there is no order confirmation number, apparently I don't need that either.

And, BTW, the part number on line is wrong. Had I placed my order on-line, I would have gotten the base for standard length action not the magnum length. I guess it cost $25 more to machine a magnum length base.

He was willing to share the part number with me 19108.

This is what passes for customer service as CZ!
