I am also a 358NM fan, hence my handle! Mine is in a Winchester Model 70, rebarreled by Lilja. It hits like the Hammer of THOR!

CCI 250M/ 78.0 gr H414/ Hornady 250gr SP Interlocks

Gentlemen

I made a post in Medium bore rifles but since I have been getting some great results from posts here in Big bore I made a link to get MAX input
The rifle is almost Big bore .358 Norma Magnum

Andre,

I also have a Husqvarna 1651 in the same caliber. Absolutely love it!

Last Sunday me and my brother were shooting my 458 and the 358 in turns, not to let the barrel cook, since the 358 barrel is quite thin.

After thumpin' some 500 grainers out of the 458, the 358 is like a 22LR

I seriously love my Husqvarna 1651 and would not trade it for anything!

My Remington 700 Safari in 458 might soon be replaced by a Weatherby 460 WM though

I look forward to comparing 1651 .358NM at the next meeting.
The .460 project sounds interesting. Will you buy a Weatherby rifle or have a gunsmith build one ?
GET A MAUSER ACTION Not a fush feed
For the price of a Weatherby DGR rifle you can have a great looking mauser/CZ rifle made.
S&L production of Denmark can also make you a .460 on the 56A action for about 15.000 DKR with a Bubinga stock. (Push Feed but nice action and god price)

Cheers,

Andr

Andr,

I was actually thinking about getting a Weatherby Mark V for starters. It's not the prettiest gun around (in my opinion), but it's the easiest way and probably the fastest (I want it now, now, now! )

Since the recoil of the 458 is relatively light, I thought "why not go for the big boy?".

I already have 20 cases for it and they really dwarf the 458

Let's see how it turns out.
