Rick RNew G&A article on Rem 798
I'm speachless, if you look at the photo of the bolt head in the article you'll find that Remington has turned their "Mauser" into a pushfeed? and added a Sako style extractor?
The paramedics rolled me out of the store before I could buy the magazine.

nordrsetaOne hopes you saw a picture of the mini-mauser rather than the full-size job...
20 June 2006, 20:04
mr rigbythat is the mini mauser not the large mauser ,that is as it has been for many years. the 375 and 458 aint magnum lenght, itis the standard which has been lenghttened tu accomandate cartridges, like the older mausers in 375 and other cartridges.

tiggertateIt's a .223 Mini-Mauser which has always been like what you see in G&A.

Remington has made a fool ofthemselves with misinformation and poor documentation on the M798 and M799 for a couple months now....their website is full of BS and their written annual brochure even shows the .375 H&H and .458 to not be among the calibers available....
When it comes to Remington.....don't believe it until it's history as they are truly inble to communicate with us any more.....what a bunch of fools!!!
The above post is right...it's a photo of their mini mauser and that has been posted here before.....(by me!!)
Further it's clear to me that we're seeing the tip of the iceberg.....there's serious trouble at Remington.

hey i just thought everyone should check out remingotns new gune they came out with this year. they have a model 798 and 799 bolt action that uses the mauser 98 bolt like a ruger does. the 798 is large calibers and 799 is the smaller calibers. i thought these were interesting because i like the mauser bolt. and new bottom ejecting auto shotgun called the ct105 and an auto rifle called the model 750 which has now replaced the remington 7400. just tought id share this with everybody. just go to
www.remington.com and click on firearms or products.

Do you think the typos are to make it look more authentic or because they cannot afford people with better spelling/typing skills?

Yes, I noticed that and smiled a bit.....and then thought that was just overanalization.....
It just read as a commercial and not the typical post from a forum member.....your guess on the typos is as good as mine for sure.
