416 Rigby 22 cartridge converter
I know special converters to fire small game cartridges are popular in Europe-can one be had for small game out of a 416 Rigby?

Australia
I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of drought and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror
The wide brown land for me!

Doesn't look like it, though they are available for .375H&H and .458 Win Mag!
See this
Lothar Walther catalogue page.

Begs the question though, why would you want one?

Why would you want one?
This winter at the indoor range I could be plinking out small groups with a .375 H&H fitted with the insert. I ask another shooter if they would like to try it. I then surreptitiously change out the insert for a full sized cartridge. Hee, hee, hee.

These were at one time quite popular, mostly beacause it allows you cheap practise with your main hunting rifle.

Personally I would like to know how the insert may effect the barrel, rifling etc.

I'd be more inclined to load roundballs with a bit of Uninque and some Charmin.
