I have owned a 10.75x68 and its a fine caliber with proper bullets...It is, in most cases, a .423 bore rifle the same as the 404 Jefferys. It will duplicate the original 404 loadings of a 400 gr. bullet at 2100 FPS...It was a dandy loaded with the BarnesX 350 gr. bullet at 2375 FPS... It has been produced by many guild gun makers, and mine was a JP Sauer...The problem I had was with Bertram brass, but now Horneber makes brass and Huntington carries that...so its a neat caliber.. It never was very popular in Africa as the bullets of that day were less than desirable and tended to blow up....but today thats a different story...I still have about 6 boxes of old Kynoch ammo for the 10,75... It can be built up on any standard action... | |||
