Not sure if this is old news but I just got an email from Ty herring saying the above bullet is available in 750gn weight.

WOW!! what a bullet...

and wow what a gun to drive it fast enough....

i think barnes prefer 1900fps and up... classic load for a 577 is 2050... so, less than 100 yards...

but DANG what a 585 nyati load

I would be delighted if Brnes made a bullet to duplicate the Bridger or GS Custom solid. But an expanding bullet is not really need in .50 or above if a good solid is used.

I don't think the 585 really needs a barnes bullet either.
The main attraction for me would be whether it entertains any sort of spitzer shape, since it would look interesting.Also for admiring a high BC when hunting from an armchair with a calculator.
I haven't seen one but would assume its probably pretty blunt.

i wish they would make a .581 muzzle loader bullet.. just like they 45 and 50...

here's what it looks like.. DAMN i would love these in my 58 caliber kodiak ML doubles







guess i need to order some hornady sabot "jackets" or cups
