I have:
1. A blueprinted Extra long Winchester Model 70 with the bolt opened for 0.545" brass.
2. A nice older style barrel in 0.424" diameter.
3. A once used 404 Rimless Nitro Express caliber (404 Jeff).
4. 300 RUM and 7mm STW magazine boxes and followers.
5. A Winchester Safari style stock.

I need it chambered, a front barrel band for the sling, barrel band front sight mounted (NECG Recknagel), the stock's nose cut back 2", and the barreled action bedded in the stock. Of course, the most important part is having it reliably feed and function.

Other than Dennis Olsen, can any one recommend the smith who did their rifle? I would like to have the work done. I know longer have the energy to do much of the work myself. Wisdom has come late to me, and all our lives are much to shot. Thankws.

I'm very happy with the work that John Farner of Eagle Creek Machine (ToomanyTools here on AR) did re-barreling my Zastava 458 Win mag installing sights, barrel band, re-bedding the stock, etc.

It shoots into one hole at 50 yards.

Would Wayne at AHR do that kind of work?

Thank you all very much for the feedback. I will follow up on these leads. Will send it off this winter, and save up to pay the bill when it is done.
