After eight long months, I finally managed to get to the range today with that neat little Model 92 that I got from Sam. What a nice gun. If I ever go deer hunting again along the river, that's going to be my shooter. I know that as most guys get older, they make greater use of optics. However, my eyes are still pretty good and I sure love shooting iron sights at short distances but a good scope is a must in the sandhills. I was able to do it all without my cane, even on the uneven ground. Biebs has me signed up for dancing with the stars. It was in the lower 90s here today and a bit windy so I only shot about 20 rounds. Nobody else was there. Too hot for everybody else I guess. I got really tired so I had to quit but golly was it ever nice to pull a trigger. Dave, Glad you are happy with the 92. I have killed lots of deer with the one I have and it is perfect for under 75 yards. Bang flop most of the time. Sam | |||
