Anybody got opinions on this powder, with light bullets in the .458 WM, as compared to the IMR powders?

I've got access to a Ruger M77 equipped with a Williams receiver sight for a back-up, fun gun this fall.

Right now I'm just looking for loads that I can use with a 350 gr. jacketed, or 400 gr. lead bullet for deer. Only loads I can find online are for 500 or 510 gr. bullets.

Will also consider using the same loads on moose, inside 200 yards, on nasty days when I don't want to bring out the fancy, scoped rifle.

for light loads....I use Cast performance bullets hard cast, flat nose, 440gr. loaded with 30 grains of Alliant 2400 powder. these are accurate in my rifle and recoil is mild,
I contacted Alliant about this load. they only sent me info on a 385gr bullet with 30 grains of 2400 and a 500gr bullet with 35 grains of 2400. so I loaded mine with 30gr and then 35gr. both shoot wonderfully. I asked alliant about a starting load and they felt I should start at around 27gr. this did not make sense to me. they told me to look in the lymann reloading manual. seemed like the person I was talking to really didn't know what they were talking about. looking at the above published loads then the 440 gr bullet should be somewhere in the middle (around 33gr of 2400) well anyway, pressures published with these bullets were in the 15,000 range. normal 458 win mag runs in the 48,000-51,000. felt safe. shot well. I'm happy.

IMO Win. 760 is too slow for 350 or 400 gr. bullets in the 458 Win. In fact it is a bit too slow for even 500 grainers. With the 458 Wins. limited case capacity Win. 748 would be a better choice but even this powder would be a bit too slow in most rifles. A powder with a burning speed like IMR 4198 or Reloader 7 would be a better choice.
