Don't laugh it's my first one from scratch so to speak. I did all the machine work etc except tig welding the bolt handle on. Remington M30 action, ed lapour 3 position safety, pacnor barrel in 416 Rigby shortened to 22 inches.I made the scope mounts, one piece triggerguard/magbox and the drop floorplate. Holds 4 down. Half moon rifle shop oberndorf style bolt handle tigged on. The quarter rib is fitted to the barrel but isn't attached yet. I'm open to suggestions on that as to using screws or solder or both. How deep can you tap the shank of a barrel for 8/40 screws? I also chambered the barrel, first one for me. Test fired 10 rounds so far with no problems. Awful light though, needs lead in the butt for balance and weight. Stock is a Dakota pattern from MPI, will need lots done to it to fit my triggerguard etc and look nice. Once to my liking I'm going to have it duplicated in walnut and stocked by a friend. But I like the way if comes up to the shoulder now that I shortened the but. I'm only 5'7" and most stocks make me feel stretched out.
I fitted the barrel band sling swivel and the NECG masterpiece banded front sight. Sling swivel is ok, front sight I bored too big. So unless someone has a way to peen or swage it down(I'm all ears) I have to get a new one.
Keep in mind I haven't polished or cleaned up anything yet. I'll stone it all by hand when I'm done. Advice or constructive criticism welcome.

Very tasty looking, I especially like the stock lines, hard to get them looking that good around the tang on one of these actions. It will look a treat in walnut. I'll be looking out for updates.
