Made a couple of phone calls and got a little information on the Stopping rifle event...It is shot over two days... 16 shots per day...There is a standing ele at 35 to 40 yds...Then pop-up targets lions for a timed event shoot reload and keep going...Then a rhino crossing at 30 yds you shoot, If I understood left to right and back 4 shots...Then the buf charge it is coming at you starting up hill and building speed with a slight angle...You only have a window of approx 10 feet to shoot two shots....The big heavy rifles have a difficulty recovering from heavy recoil... Looking forward to the shoot... Mike

Mike, I'm going to be on a cruise until the 21st, but I am going to try to make it up there to lend moral support! George

What is their definition of 'Stopping'. Do they go by KO, # of Joules, or....? Does a wise-ass shooting .405 Winchester have to shoot 2x to equal guy absorbing .500NE 3"? Those guys shooting .577NE, .600NE or more are already out of the chase! Would this one with Docter II sight be acceptable? Another way to 'cheat' would be to use Szecei O/U magazine rifle and shooting the bottom barrel first.
