I made an outing with the 416 RM today. Here are the results.

I find these results to be pretty good for a factory Model 70 shooting factory ammunition. FYI, the factory ammo is Remington Safari Grade topped with 400 grain Swift A-Frames and 400 Grain Barnes Solids.

Now, if I can just hit an elephant with it. Wink

Now there go your excuses about the rifle and ammo combination!

But there is nothing quite like a group like that to give a man complete confidence in his rig...

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Great shooting! Now you just have to find a tracker ballsy enough to slap one of those orange sticky dots on an ele or buffalo and you're in business. Smiler

Looks like you're ready, Will! Good luck my friend and don't wear Thierry out too much. I'm pulling for you to get a 60 pounder.
