Black Panther but Panther/Leopard same animal. You'll enjoy this book.
A good chapter on snakes in this book, Anderson seemed to have a fondness for them, I seem to recall he use to keep and milk their venom for making anti-venom. Opposite to Jim Corbett who used to like to kill a snake before each hunt as he said it seemed to bring him good luck on his hunt.
Living in a country with no snakes, reading Anderson stories about the snakes encountered in the jungles of India sends shivers down my spine, I don't know why I read these bits.

I just completed the "Black Panther Of Sivanipalli"chapter.Anderson follows up the leopard he wounded in the dark by the river at the kill.He then does a follow-up with Kush-the dog and two helpers. They track the leopard into a cave full of bee hives. The leopard then charges and all hell breaks loose.I think he did a very good job of describing his experience with the leopard in this chapter. It is one of my favorite chapters.

I finished the chapter called "The killer From Hyderabad" in Anderson's "The Black Panther Of Sivanipalli" book.I can't say how much I enjoyed this chapter.IMO this was the best of his work that I've read so far.The story keeps you captivated until the end.The details of the area, identifying the tiger, the story of the victims, the use of the railroad, and the shooting, all come together to make this a classic.

A quote from "The Book Of The Lion"."You go out to Africa to see savages, and you find them only on your return. You will look on the urban populations of Europe with new eyes, and claim that the mass of barbarians live healthier and better lives, with fewer wants and less pain,in sweeter surroundings than these".
