For those of you that follow this book thread, you should know that Bill Quimby is being honored next month by being inducted into the Arizona Outdoor Hall of Fame. A well earned tribute to a fine writer, a real gentleman, and a true outdoorsman.

Judging from some of the photos I see of Washington politicians, it would seem that there is no such thing as too old, too unhealthy and too fat on the Hill. But can you still hunt, that's what's important.

Thanks, but it is easy to be honest about your abilities when you are age 70, weigh 290 pounds, and have various heart and thyroid problems.

Everyone will know you're a damned liar if you say otherwise.

Good writing comes from training and talent, and not honesty and a lack of self delusion. I am long on the first, and a great deal shorter than guys like Capstick and many others on the second.
